Terms of Service — folder.ovh

1. The Service

folder.ovh lets you publish folder inventories (names and sizes), share selective pick-lists via short links, and optionally use social features such as profiles, posts, follows, lists, and direct messages. We do not host your files; inventories and selections are metadata you choose to publish.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or our policies (including bans, shadowbans, and content holds).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload or share illegal, infringing, or harmful content
Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
Attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or bypass security or rate limits
Use the Service to distribute malware or phishing
Violate others’ privacy or intellectual property rights

We may remove content, restrict features, or ban accounts when we reasonably believe a violation has occurred.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create (folder lists, posts, comments, messages, avatars, etc.). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to publish what you share.

5. Share links and public pages

Public folder pages (/t/…), share links (/r/…), and public profiles may be accessible to anyone with the link or username, subject to your settings (passwords, expiry, private profiles, etc.). You are responsible for what you make public.

6. No file hosting warranty

The Service is not a file host or CDN. Availability of files referenced in your inventories is your responsibility. We do not guarantee uptime, link permanence, or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. API and automation

If you use API keys, you must keep them secret, respect rate limits, and not use the API to abuse the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes may be announced on the site when practical.
